The gas mercury analyzer measures with precision the mercury content in the environments below:
- in alkaline-chlorinated environment,
- in manufacturing plants and laboratories,
- in mercury-recycling plants,
- in natural gas industries,
- in contaminated sites.
PERFORMANCES
The MMS is characterized by a high response rate, an excellent calibration stability, a water-vapor immunity and reduced maintenance requirements.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Samples are continuously measured with sampling lines by a heated-valve switch. A sample is introduced into the optical cell of the mercury vapor monitor which measures the mercury concentration. The unused sampling lines are rinsed with the sample to reduce, at minimum, the response time of the system. With this method, sampling lines with a length greater than 100m may be used.
ERGONOMICS
The MMS is composed of a VM-3000 mercury vapor monitor, a 16-channel heated-valve switch, a bypass sampling pump and two flow meters with alarms. Reliability is provided through options such as a fan, a heater or an air conditioning unit, even in extreme climatic conditions. Communication between the analyzer and the PC is set via an fiber-optic cable. The system can also operate without connection to a PC.
