TSAR is a dependable Telecommand station, designed to send the self-destruct command to the ARIANE launch vehicule (Ariane IV or V) if a failure occurs which could endanger human safety.
Computers used in the station are designed and industrialized by ELTA according to TECHNICATOME specifications within the framework of nuclear boiler room Control / Command systems for French submarines and aircraft-carrier.
All the equipment composing the station is designed for oriented breakdowns. The rate of unsure breakdowns is very small. The probable breakdowns engage the equipment towards a stable and safe mode according to the global performance of the station.
