For more than 15 years, ELTA has used its skills in the fields of electronics and power conversion for harsh environments to develop and produce onboard equipment for railroad applications.

ELTA applies the following know-how to the field of railroad transportation:

• Fail-safe processors: Using its skill in fail-safe processors in the field of defense, ELTA has successfully developed its products in the field of railroad fail-safe processors (trains, underground railway, tramway): for instance, development, qualification and production of the fail-safe processors for the MF2000 future underground railway in Paris.
• Data transmission: Onboard-to-Onboard, Onboard-to-Ground VHF transmission, mobile target tracking and fleet localization.
• Onboard power conversion: up to 70 kVA inverters, battery chargers.
