The purpose of this equipment is to provide the programming function as well as the possibility to record this data on 3.5’’ disks or hard disk. The programming can be done in less than two minutes for each new coding.

All the Cospas-Sarsat protocols can be used without special knowledge thanks to “a selection menu”, the software then creating the appropriate coding.

The PRG6A includes :

• A programming software developed by ELTA, supplied on 3.5’’ floppy disk. This software is identical to BTS96A or STB-06-A (encoding function only )
• A set of cables for connection of ELT/PRG6A/computer
• A user handbook
• A 9V battery (for RS232 signal translation)

To operate, this equipment requires a “PC” computer (not supplied). It is connected to the RS232 serial link.
